If you think you might want to live here, we want you to understand what cohousing is about and what life at MVCC is like. Then, take a tour of our community and get answers to your initial questions about what it’s like to live here.

STEPS
- • Consider attending social events so you can meet your potential neighbors and talk to people about their experiences living here. Common meals are at the heart of our community, and we’d be pleased to welcome you as our guest. We also have an informal TGIF weekly gathering.
- • Understand how the work gets done by our teams. If possible, participate in some of our work activities so you can see the various tasks we perform and experience the satisfaction of working together with friends (and feasting afterwards!).
- • Learn how we govern ourselves and our process for decision-making. We strive for consensus, listening to and discussing each other’s concerns until we find creative solutions to the challenges we face.
- • Read our governing documents to become familiar with the bylaws, policies, and guidelines we’ve established for our community.
